They are avaliable at any agricultural fair along the Basque lands. You can find these wonderful products every Saturday during the fait that takes place at the Tinglados, in El Arenal, nearby the Town Hall. It’s next to the river (la Ría), right in the center of the city.
Guaranteed by local institutions and with the participation of Slow-Food, almost thirty local farmers which for the most part hold organic certification, retail seasonal fruits, cold meat, vegetables and legumes, as well as tinned food, corn flour, sweets, cheeses, cider, txakoli and handmade beers Apart from the product itself and the fact that you get to know farmers and sheperdesses from all over Biscay, the experience is worth it.
Many people in Bilbao do much of their weekly shopping at this market. It is not uncommon to order it from week to week.

Eskuola
Eskuola has been producing foies, pâtés and other duck derivatives such as micuit or cured ham for almost 30 years in an artisanal way in Mungia. They select good raw material to obtain a high quality product, with an affordable price and gluten free. Ask Itxasne Agirre for advice.

Gorka Irazabal
Gamiz-Fika is famous for being one of the vegetable gardens of Bizkaia. This is where the vegetables and legumes of Gorka Irazabal’s farmhouse come from, always depending on the season. In addition, the essential dried pepper, which is fundamental in the culinary tradition, organic corn flour, jams and legumes. Begoña Hidalgo is in charge of the stall. They also offer guided tours of their vegetable patches and orchards.

Askibil
Zuriñe Suárez looks after 160 goats in the hills of Igorre (Arratia Valley). Their milk is used to make artisanal cheeses and yogurts. Askibil has joined the Euskal Gaztak project, which means they respect the most demanding criteria in terms of quality and origin of their cheeses.

Janire Goikuria
Today it is the indefatigable Basi Balerdi who is in charge of selling artisan bread, Basque cake and other traditional cakes. The producer is Janire Goikuria, daughter of Teresa Petralanda, who manages the recipes and the oven in the farmhouse located in Orozko, in the foothills of Gorbea, where her cows and sheep still graze.

Momoitio Baserria
Begoña Lumbreras follows the tradition cultivating some other fruitful lands in Bizkaia: Berango and Gatika. ender and careful, she harvests seasonal vegetables, white beans, red Gernika beans, corn flour, fresh vegetables as well as tinned-food. She accepts orders depending on the production of its vegetable gardens.
