Esquire includes Residence and Perita in its top bars in spain 2022

Esquire is one of the undisputed reference publications when it comes to leisure and style. It has recently published its Top Bars Spain 2022.

This prestigious list includes two bars in Bilbao, both different but equally excellent.

Residence

Is one of those palaces of excellent drinks and distinguished ambience.

Small place, cocktail mastery in the hands of the mustachioed Manu Iturregui and his team.

The whisky that everyone dreams of, black beers and, when you less expect, live music.

Perita

Is the tavern where you can find seafood served on the bar, especially delicious prawns. All very fresh.

Wines and beers to match full of love for the customer.

But Bilbao is much more.

La Mula de Moscú (Alda. Recalde, 15) adds interesting cuisine to its extraordinary cocktails and good music.

When it comes to the alchemy of long drinks, it is also worth not forgetting reference pubs such as Sir Winston Churchill, Jaime, Abando, Monty, Basque, Art Bilbao or Lust.

Antomar (Ledesma, 14), offers a traditional bar for a red wine and a bocadito of excellent Iberian ham in a nice pedestrian street.

Nearby, the classic Monty (Heros, 16) Café Iruña (Colón de Larreategui 13), opposite Albia gardens, boasts a century of tradition among its unique tiles.

In the Casco Viejo, Lamiakhas been providing a LGTBIQ+ friendly atmosphere for decades on its two floors, as well as perfect coffees, drinks of all kinds, carrot cake and exhibitions on the walls. Drinks in El Víctor, Toma y Daka, Kasko and Víctor Montes are also excellent.

Outside the capital, there are a thousand places that take care of ice, fruit, wide good glass and savoir faire, such as the Atarrabi in Sondika. Or the unique Indian in Sopela or Fangaloka in Getxo.
