O ndarroa, one of the most important fishing ports in the Cantabrian Sea, offers outstanding views, good gastronomy at every corner and a local lifestyle that makes it a place we always recommend visiting its streets and docks.
And now there is yet another attraction. In 2022, the Street Art Cities community nominated a large mural painted on the side of a residential building as the third best urban mural in the world, just after a mural painted in Tiburg (Netherlands) and another one in Zamora (Argentina).
Murales Lian’ signed the work entitled ‘The hands of many in this city’. It is a tribute to the thousands of women who, for centuries, wove and repaired
fishing nets. But the message transcends pure manual labour to reflect the silenced work of women as weavers of collective memory and social networks.
The mural is located at Avenida de la Virgen de la Antigua number 11.
