The Fantastic and Horror Film Festival – FANT

3 – 11 May 2025 BILBAO

The Fantastic and Horror Film Festival – FANT celebrates its 30th edition from 3 to 11 May.

It hosts premieres, revivals of classics and an interesting competition section, all of which make for a great atmosphere. The main venue is the Campos Theatre.

This year’s visual theme focuses on the now classic film of the genre, Friday the 13th.

Umore Azoka

15 – 18 may 2025 LEIOA

From 15 to 18 May, Leioa celebrates a quarter of a century of laughter with Umore Azoka (Humour Fair).

The programme includes local and international premieres of dance, clown theatre, puppetry, visual arts, magic, music, performance and circus.

Gau Zuria – The White Night

13 – 14 June 2025 BILBAO

A month later, on the nights of the 13th and 14th, Bilbao celebrates the anniversary of its foundation 725 years ago.

The façades of emblematic buildings and public spaces are decorated with light shows, music, images and sound. In addition, a variety of cultural spaces are opened simultaneously for the enjoyment of the public, such as the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, Itsasmuseum, Azkuna Zentroa, and spaces in the urban landscape are redecorated.

And that is not all. It’s Gau Zuria – The White Night.

Zinegoak

The Zinegoak Festival will take place from 23 to 30 June.

Screenings, talks, awards, professional conferences, parties and masterclasses in different formats make up the interesting programme of the LGTBIQ+ International Film and Performing Arts Festival, which will take over various venues in Bilbao.

Lekuz Leku

25 – 28 june 2025 BILBAO

The 21st edition of the Lekuz Leku dance festival will take place from 25 to 28 June.

It offers a programme of short performances that will take place in the urban landscape of Bilbao, around the Guggenheim Museum, the Muelle Churruca, the Pasarela Pedro Arrupe and La Fundición.

Local and international proposals that bring contemporary dance to the public.

Kalealdia

First of July 2025 BILBAO

Kalealdia brings surprises to Bilbao’s squares, avenues and promenades at the beginning of July.

This theatre and street arts festival features performances by top international companies in contemporary dance, music, theatre, puppetry and circus.

The performances are held in Doña Casilda Park, Plaza Arriaga, Isozaki Atea and other venues.
