SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL is Bilbao’s English pub. Its history dates back to no less than 1967.
“It is the last remaining authentic English pub in the city,” explains Alberto Canales, who has been the owner and barman for 18 years. The Churchill is constantly being renovated with the aim of preserving its original essence.

That’s why there you will find 16 types of beer and a thousand references in spirits and liqueurs.

Cocktails

In fact, it is much more than a pub. The expert hands that handle the finest spirits, fruit and ice behind the bar are capable of preparing around a hundred excellent cocktails, in addition to the usual long drinks such as the gin and tonic. “We ask every customer who comes through the door about their tastes and preferences and try to guide them to the cocktail that suits them perfectly,” reveals Canales. So talk to whoever is behind the bar. They’ll get it right.

The Churchill is essence, it’s home, it’s harmony, it’s pleasure, it’s a drink with a conversation. All wrapped up in th rock & roll, blues, funky and disco of the 70s, 80s and 90s. Like a good English pub, it never gets old.
