After more than two years suspended due to the pandemic, the ‘living passions’ will return to Biscay between 14 and 17 April 2022.

These religious performances are recreations of the last days of the life of Jesus of Nazareth, with trials and Stations of the Cross (vía crucis).

The most powerful is the one in Balmaseda, which is also a good reason to visit this town that preserves an interesting historical and architectural heritage.

If you go for Bilbao, you can follow the several processions of the brotherhoods (cofradía) that carry sculptures related to the Passion.
