Eltreze, which opened in August, offers a solution to one of the biggest questions that assails visitors to any city: “Where can I go for a snack or a meal?”

In the centre of Bilbao, opposite the historic Albia Gardens, the answer is Eltreze. Just look through its large windows to find out for yourself.

Bustling from early in the morning, Eltreze offers specialty coffees and freshly baked pastries for breakfast in its bright interior. On weekends, it also serves a spectacular brunch.

Their snacks are perfect for mid-morning and mid-afternoon. You can choose between hot and cold sandwiches, with surprising combinations such as beef tongue pastrami, fresh rocket and mustard sauce, and figs with pickled gherkins, to name but a few. Not to mention the prawn-filled brioches and delicious stuffed bread.

The spacious, modern dining room is open for lunch from 1 p.m. and dinner from 7.30 p.m., offering carefully prepared dishes and attentive service.

Eltreze is a safe bet at any time. And it only closes on Tuesdays.
