It is as if the Sagrado Corazón, which rises in the square of the same name, were blessing each and every drink made at BAR JAIME, open for more than four decades in the shadow of the golden monument that marks the end of Bilbao’s Gran Vía.

This, together with the liqueurs, the fruit and the know-how of those who handle the cocktail shakers, mixing glasses and ice, are simply some of the best in the city. There is no other way to explain more than forty years of success in a place as demanding as Bilbao.

The coffees, vermouths and pintxos are as good as the cocktails.

It has a pleasant terrace in the middle of Gran Vía. But there’s nothing like going inside and feeling like one of the locals.
